Akron Baseball Season Opener Against Oakland Moved to Skeeles Field

AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron baseball team is just one week away from its season opener, and already Mother Nature is showing her influence.

The four-game series against Oakland, originally scheduled for a neutral site in Kentucky, has been moved to Skeeles Field at the Lee R. Jackson Athletics Complex.
Â
Under first-year head coach Chris Sabo, the Zips host Oakland on Friday, Feb. 14, at Noon.
Â
The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 15, beginning at 11 a.m.
Â
The final game will start at Noon on Sunday, Feb. 16.Â

Admission to all UA baseball games is FREE.
