CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Akron Zips men's basketball team was scheduled to play the first installment of the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge rivalry game on Saturday, Dec. 19, but the game was postponed due to a positive test and contact tracing procedures within the Kent State basketball program.

The Mid-American Conference released an official statement earlier today that read:

"The University of Akron at Kent State University men's basketball game on Saturday, December 19 has been postponed due to roster issues with the Kent State men's basketball team related to positive COVID-19 tests and subsequent contact tracing. The game will be rescheduled on a to-be-determined date."
