AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's tennis team travels to Notre Dame for a Friday evening match.

The teams will square off at 5 p.m. ET at Eck Tennis Pavilion. Live streaming and live scoring will be available.

"Notre Dame is always good from top to bottom," interim head coach Brian Peters said. "They have no weak spots. We are going to see a variety of playing styles, and we have to raise our level of tennis to compete."

The Fighting Irish (3-1 overall) and the Zips (0-3 overall) have only met once before. In March 1986, Notre Dame claimed a home win (no score available) over UA.

For the Zips, sophomore Claudia Cecilia Rosas Garcia (Gaudalajara, Mexico) stands 10-4 overall in singles action and 9-5 in doubles action. Junior Miruna Vasilescu (Ulm, Germany) is 7-5 overall in singles, while junior Anna Uljanov (Schweinfurt, Germany) is 6-4 overall.
