AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron men's soccer squad was well represented when the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association unveiled its 2019 All-Ohio men's soccer selections as junior David Egbo (Enugu, Nigeria) and sophomores Colin Biros (Jackson, Ohio) and Carlo Ritaccio (Westbury, N.Y.) were honored.

Additionally, senior Christian Lue Young (Plantation, Fla.), redshirt junior Diogo Pacheco (Lisbon, Portugal) and junior Daniel Strachan (Lakewood, Ohio) were tabbed Academic All-Ohio selections.

Pulling in First-Team All-Mid-American Conference honors for the second straight year, Egbo started 13 of the 15 games in which he appeared in this season, registering team-leading marks in goals (9), assists (4), points (18), shots (49) and shots on goal (19).

Egbo rated second in the MAC in goals (0.47), points (1.20), shots (3.27) and shots on goal (1.27) per contest. In league-only affairs, he led the conference in goals (0.75), points (2.25) and shots (4.00) per outing, while pacing all players in total goals (3) and points (9), and ranking second in total assists (3) and shots (16).

Named a First-Team All-MAC honoree for the first time, Biros, started 16 of Akron's 18 games. Sparked by 13 shots, including six on goal, he recorded two goals and one assist, and ranked third in the conference in game-winning goals (1) in league-only affairs.

A year after garnering second-team all-league honors, Ritaccio, who started each of the 15 matches he appeared in for Akron, was elevated to a First-Team All-MAC recipient this season. He helped anchor a Zips' defensive unit that has posted four shutouts on the campaign, while adding an assist on the strength of eight shots, including three on frame.

Maintaining a 3.255 GPA majoring in cybersecurity, Lue Young elevated his game to another level this past season and helped anchor a Zips' defense unit that has registered four shutouts, en route to collecting Second-Team All-MAC honors for the first time. He started 12 of the 16 matches he has appeared in for Akron, owing a goal and two assists on 19 shots, including eight on frame.

Majoring in business administration, Pacheco, who owns a 3.396 GPA, appeared in six contests for Akron in 2019, including six starts, and finished the campaign recording two goals and a pair of assists on the strength of 29 shots, including 11 on goal. He ranked third on the squad in goals (2) and points (6) and fourth in assists (2), shots (29) and shots on goal (11).

A team captain and one of two Zips to play in all 18 games this past season, Strachan, who maintains a 3.569 GPA majoring in business, earned all-conference accolades for the first time, as he was tabbed a Second-Team All-MAC honoree. A versatile player, he sparked the Zips both as a defender and midfielder on the campaign, Strachan netted a goal and an assist for Akron on the strength of 13 shots, with six of those strike falling on frame.
