Akron Picked Seventh in ASUN Preseason Women’s Lacrosse Poll

ATLANTA – The Atlantic Sun Conference women's lacrosse coaches have selected Jacksonville as the preseason favorite to win the 2020 ASUN regular-season title, the league announced on Friday.
Liberty was second, followed by Coastal Carolina, Kennesaw State and Stetson. Kent State, Akron, and Howard rounded out the voting.
Under the guidance of head coach Christy Mitchell, Akron will make history on Friday, Feb. 14, with its inaugural match at Presbyterian College at 7 p.m. UA's home opener is slated for Sunday, Feb. 23, against Saint Francis (Pa.) at 1 p.m. in InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
The Zips enter their first year as a varsity program with 26 players, including 24 freshmen, one sophomore, and one junior.
