Grayson Earns All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND – For the second consecutive season, Akron Zips men's golf senior Elliott Grayson (Shelby, N.C.) earned Mid-American Conference All-League honors after being named second team All-MAC by the league's nine head coaches, the MAC office announced on Friday.

Grayson led the Zips through a successful 2018-19 campaign which included the team's first win at Firestone Invitational. Akron posted a 7-under par tournament total fueled by Grayson's 5-under 211-stroke performance. He finished fourth overall.

This season, Grayson recorded a team-best 73.00 stroke average in 10 events and 27 rounds of golf. He led the Zips' scoring 6-of-10 events and carded 10 rounds of par or better, including a pair of 68 scores.

Grayson finished in the Top 25 in 7-of-10 tournaments, including two fourth place finishes. In addition, he landed 11^th, 18^th, 21^st(twice), and 22^nd overall.

Over the last two seasons, Grayson has posted a team-best 72.96 stroke average in 21 events and 60 rounds.

For his career, Grayson recorded a 73.62 stroke average in 44 events and 129 rounds.
