AKRON, Ohio— Zips LIVE, presented by Lee Hyder and Associates, will kick off the 2019-20 basketball season on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 7-8 p.m. ET live from the Spaghetti Warehouse (510 South Main Street) with head men's basketball coach John Groce and head women's basketball coach Melissa Jackson.

Fans, students, and the public are encouraged to attend the live broadcasts every week.
David Skoczen hosts the weekly hour-long radio show covering Zips Athletics, which airs locally on Akron Sports Network flagship Fox Sports 1350, WARF-AM. The broadcast can also be heard via the Fox Sports 1350 channel on iHeartRadio. To listen on Amazon Echo or Google home devices, say "Play Fox Sports 1350 on iHeartRadio." The Zips LIVE podcast is available on demand on the iHeartRadio app following each show.

Season ticket plans can be purchased now by calling or texting 888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) during business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Men's basketball (5-2 overall) travels to Marshall on Dec. 4, before hosting Southern University on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at James A. Rhodes Arena.

Women's basketball (4-2 overall) hosts Duquesne on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Rhodes Arena in its annual Education Day game.
