Baldwin Honored as MAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference released its weekly MAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week recipients on Tuesday, April 11, and University of Akron senior Miles Baldwin (Cincinnati, Ohio) was among those honored.
Baldwin was chosen as the MAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week following turning in the second-fastest time in program history in the 400 meters en route to placing third with a time of 46.80 at the Spec Towns Invitational on Saturday, April 8.
Additionally, Baldwin ran the opening leg of the 4x400 relay team that placed third in 3:10.97 and the second leg of the 4x100 relay that finished fifth in 40.47.
His time in the 400 meters represents the No. 37 mark in the NCAA this spring and 16th-fastest time in the NCAA East Region.
The Zips return to competition this weekend as Akron hosts the Northeast Ohio Quad on Friday and Saturday, April 14-15 at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex.
