AKRON, Ohio– Tickets for the 2017 Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl are on sale now.

Akron (7-6 overall) faces Florida Atlantic (10-3 overall) on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. in Boca Raton, Fla. ESPN will televise the game.

Tickets are $57 each and will be assigned based on the University's ticket policy for postseason competition.
To request tickets, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office by calling or texting 1-888-99-AKRON on Monday, Dec. 4, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET. Tickets will be allocated based on the University's ticket policy for postseason competition. Requests are prioritized by donor level (Priority Points), football season ticket holder status, then general public. Specific seating location goes by donor level.Â
Fans who request tickets will be notified by phone about the status of their order.
For fans wishing to purchase season tickets for the 2018 season, the Ticket Office is currently taking non-refundable deposits of $25/seat.
University of Akron students will receive two (2) free bowl tickets with a valid University I.D. Students must call or text the ticket office to reserve a ticket. They must also provide a student I.D. number. Additional student tickets may be purchased for $20 each. Student tickets will be held for Will Call pick up from the Akron table on the day of the game.
The bowl appearance is Akron's third since moving to Division I-A (FBS) play in 1987 and second in three seasons. The Zips' first bowl appearance was the 2005 Motor City Bowl in Detroit. In 2015, Akron won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The game is the first meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
