Women's Soccer Adds AnotherPiece to 2016 Incoming Class

AKRON, Ohio – Akron women's soccer adds another piece to the 2016 roster with the addition of Becky Abbot, announced by second-year head coach Noreen Herlihy.
Abbot joins an incoming class of 13 newcomers to the Zips program including 11 true freshman and two transfer students.

Herlihy on Becky:
"We are happy Becky is joining us. She is very excited to come and help us achieve our goals with the program. She has played at a very good level, formerly at Liverpool and currently at Manchester City. She is a defender who likes to get forward and is good on the ball. She will bring some additional experience to a very young team. Becky can also play as a winger, so we look forward to having her join the Zips program.
Club- Manchester City Women Football Club: Won managers Player of the Year and players Player of the Year at Liverpool Ladies centre of excellence Under 16's. Voted players Player of the Year for Liverpool Ladies centre of excellence under 14's.
