Women's Soccer Adds Two to 2016 Incoming Class

AKRON, Ohio – Akron women's soccer and head coach Noreen Herlihy announced the addition of Stephanie Hernandez and Nina Woitzik to the 2016 class on Monday.
Hernandez (Alexandria, Va.) and Woitzik (Fttenheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) join 11 other student-athletes who will be joining the Zips program in 2016 after signing in February.

"Stephanie has played at a good club level. She is a hardworking midfielder who likes to get on the ball and has good vision to pick out the pass. We welcome Stephanie to our program."

Nina Woitzik
Defense
Fttenheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
Herlihy on Nina:
"Nina is a tough tackling athletic defender who likes to build out of the back and get forward. She is technically good on the ball, especially in tight spaces. Brings good experience from the German leagues. Will be a welcome addition to our team and we look forward to having her join us."
Club- SC Freiburg U21 Frauen: Captured the Sudbaden U17 championship for three years in a row (2012-14) … runner-up in the Oberliga Baden-Wurttemberg division in 2015 … member of the U15-U18 all region team of Sudbaden.
