Relay Teams Highlight Zips' Efforts to Close Out Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Akron registered a pair of top 10 relay finishes to headline the Zips' efforts on the final day of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday, March 26.
The quartet of redshirt freshman Mackenzie Andrews (Toowoomba, Australia), redshirt sophomore Tara Snipes (Covington, Ohio), freshman Cynthia Haas (Tallmadge, Ohio) and redshirt junior Natalie Zidd (Hinckley, Ohio) placed sixth in the 4x800 relay crossing the line in 9:07.73.
Finishing ninth in the 4x1500 relay in 19:45.06 was the team of Snipes, Haas, freshman Morgan Buckley (Howland, Ohio) and junior Alexandra Blair (Akron, Ohio).
In men's action, redshirt junior Sean Poholski (Barberton, Ohio) registered a time of 1:53.71 in the 800 meters.
Akron returns to action next Thursday through Saturday, March 31-April 2, traveling to Austin, Texas, to compete at the Texas Relays.
