Hasse Directs Akron's Efforts at National Pole Vault Summit

NATIONAL POLE VAULT SUMMIT RESULTS
RENO, Nev. - University of Akron redshirt junior Caroline Hasse (Potsdam, Germany) surpassed 13-3.50 (4.05m) to garner the victory in the top women's pole vault flight to direct the Zips' efforts at the National Pole Vault Summit on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Freshman Eboni Hall (Pickerington, Ohio) placed second in the No. 3 flight with a clearance of 11-11.75 (3.65m).
In the top flight of the men's competition, senior Alex McCune (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore Matt Rowland (Bellevue, Ohio) tied for second place with jumps of 16-4.75 (5.00m).
Akron returns to competition traveling to Kent, Ohio, to square off against Mid-American Conference rival Kent State on Friday, Jan. 22, in a dual meet.
