Baseball Cancels Tuesday Matchup with Marshall

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron baseball has cancelled Tuesday's home matchup against Marshall University due to inclement weather in the region.

Akron will instead look ahead to a non-conference tilt against Western Michigan on Wednesday, which will be held at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio. All Pro Freight Stadium is the location for the 2014 Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament, and also home to the Frontier League's Lake Erie Crushers.

Following the midweek contest, the Zips will be at home on Lee R. Jackson Field for a three-game set against MAC East opponent Bowling Green, beginning at 3 p.m., on Friday.
