Men's Golf Returns to South Carolina for Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate

AKRON, Ohio – For the second-straight event, the Akron Zips will play in the state of South Carolina, this time heading to Awendaw, S.C., for the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at the Bulls Bay Golf Club.
This year's event will be one of the strongest the Zips will face, with 11 teams in the Golfstat Top-100. Akron will face off against No. 30 Auburn, Charleston Southern, No. 88 College of Charleston, No. 86 Duke, No. 67 GRU Augusta, No. 36 Kentucky, No. 55 Missouri, No. 71 North Carolina, NC State, No. 5 USC-Aiken (D-II), No. 24 South Carolina, No. 10 Virginia, No. 39 Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Tee times are set to begin at 10 a.m. ET from the first and 10th tees at 10 a.m. ET. The Zips will take the course beginning at 11:40 a.m. from the first tee. Fans can follow all the action live online via Golfstat Live Scoring. Rounds two and three will follow on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
UA is coming off a 16th-place finish at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C., on March 11.
The Zips ended the week with a three-round score of 912 (+72).
J.B. Williams led the way for the Zips, finishing tied for 52nd place with a 54-hole tally of 227 (+17). Charlie Bull would go on to finish in a tie for 63rd place (230, +20).
