College Sports Madness Names Devan Ahart MAC Player of the Week

AKRON, Ohio – College Sports Madness has named Akron outfielder Devan Ahart Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.
This is the second award this week for Ahart, after being named MAC East Division Player of the week by the league on Monday.
Ahart had one of the strongest offensive weekends of his collegiate career this past weekend in games against Austin Peay and Milwaukee. During the weekend, Ahart led the team with five runs, eight hits, seven RBI and two homers, ending the road trip with a .533 batting average (8-for-15) and a .933 slugging percentage. He also played all three games in centerfield without recording an error.
He owns the team high on the Akron offense in batting average (.404), on-base percentage (.462), stolen bases (eight), and hits (19) while batting out of the three-hole in the lineup. Ahart is currently on a four-game multi-hit streak, and has seven total multi-hit games in 11 starts this season.
Akron baseball heads to the University of Cincinnati this weekend for a three-game series, beginning on Friday at 4 p.m.
