MOBILE, Ala. – A late start due to dew on the course forced the postponement of the second round of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate with less than nine holes to go on Monday.
When play was suspended, the Akron Zips were in 16th place and all five players having completed at least 11 holes. Auburn will be the leader when the second round resumes tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. ET.
The third round will be played at the conclusion of the second round on Tuesday.
Charlie Bull was the top performer for the Zips during the first round, carding a 1-under 71. He was 6-over through 12 holes on the day (t-34th) when play was halted. Louis Birchall also had a good round to start the day, posting a 3-over 75 and was tied for 48th at the end of the day (8-over).
Cameron Simmons and Ryan Harris are one shot apart at 12-over and 13-over, respectively, good for a tie for 65th and a tie for 68th. Carr Vernon is alone in 78th place at 16-over.
