Swimming and Diving Earns Team Scholar All-America Honors

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron swimming and diving team has once again been honored for its academic work by earning the Scholar All-America Team Award, announced last week by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The award is presented to all collegiate swimming and diving programs that earn a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is given in both the fall and spring semester.

The Zips completed the fall semester with a team grade point average of 3.43, the 17th highest mark amongst NCAA Division I women's swimming and diving programs. UA's team GPA is also the highest in the Mid-American Conference.
