Men's Soccer General Admission Tickets Still Available for Saturday's Opener

AKRON, Ohio – Single-game, general admission tickets are available for The University of Akron men's soccer team's season opener against Cleveland State Saturday. The Zips and Vikings will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
To purchase your ticket, click on GoZips.com/Tickets, call 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visit the C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field (located at the southwest corner of the venue, near Gate 1, at the corner of East Exchange and South Union streets).
The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Tickets wil also be available at the gate on the day of the game, while supplies last. The first 2,500 fans will receive a complimentary miniature championship banner.
Saturday's game will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2011 Zips in action after winning the school's first team national championship in any sport last December. UA will begin its title defense against the only team to defeat them a year ago with an NCAA record on the line.
With a positive result against CSU, UA will set the NCAA record for the longest home unbeaten streak, which currently stands at 39 games. Akron matched Tulsa's 19-year old record last December with a 3-all tie against California in the NCAA quarterfinals. The Golden Hurricane set the initial milestone from 1998-92.
The Zips are 37-0-2 in their last 39 games at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field and have lost just once during the regular run of play in their last 50 contests overall.
