Akron Soccer Announces 2011 Season Ticket Prices

The University of Akron Department of Athletics announced its
season ticket packages for the 2011 men's and women's soccer home
schedule Wednesday.
Once again, those who purchase a men's season ticket package will
receive one complimentary Akron Soccer scarf, which is exclusive to
season ticketholders (one per season ticket). Furthermore, those
who renew their men's season tickets by May 20th will receive a
portion from one of the nets used during the 2010 NCAA championship
match in Santa Barbara (one per account)! Fans are also encouraged
to renew by May 20th in order to retain their
seats for the 2011 season as there is a waiting list for chair-back
and bleacher-back season tickets.

Excitement for Akron soccer has never been greater, following the
school's first team national championship in any sport, secured in
historic fashion by the men's team last December. It was the Zips'
second consecutive appearance in a national championship game and
was a proper tribute to the fans who packed the pitch at Cub Cadet
Field, formerly Lee R. Jackson Soccer Field, all season long.
The Zips were one of just four Division I schools to average more
than 3,000 fans for men's soccer a year ago and finished second in
the nation with an average of 3,213 overall. That passion has
translated onto the field where the men's team will have the
opportunity to set an NCAA record for the longest home unbeaten
streak (currently at 39 games) when Cleveland State comes to town
for the season opener on Aug. 27.
Like last season, there will be four options for men's season
ticket holders at Cub Cadet Field; chair-back and bleacher-back
reserved seating, general admission and the family plan.
Chair-back seating - located in the first three rows of the
grandstand nearest the field - allows fans to watch in comfort
right alongside the action and can be purchased for $150, which
includes a $50 donation to the Z-FUND. Bleacher-back seating -
which is located in the second tier of the grandstand - gives fans
a more elevated view of the field and can be purchased for $110,
which includes a $25 donation to the Z-FUND. Both chair-back and
bleacher-back tickets guarantees reserved seats for every home
match.
For fans wishing to enjoy the view from the end lines, a general
admission season ticket guarantees access to every home match and
can be purchased for $75.
Finally, the family plan, which includes a combination of either
two adults and two youth general admission tickets or one adult and
three youth general admission tickets, can be purchased for $200.
Youth are classified as age 3-14. Those who purchase season family
plans will receive four complimentary scarves and have the
opportunity to register their youth to be a ball kid. Additional
youth admissions can be added to a family plan at a prorated amount
of $50 per season ticket.

All women's soccer season tickets are general admission and can be
purchased for $40. Or, for greater value, fans can once again just
add a women's season ticket to any individual men's season ticket
for just $20 or to a men's Family Plan for just $40 with an
All-Soccer Season Ticket.
In addition to guaranteed access to each UA soccer match this fall,
becoming a soccer season ticket holder comes with a number of added
benefits, including the first right to purchase postseason tickets
and access to a number of exclusive pre-game gatherings.
Single-game ticket prices were also announced Thursday. Adult
tickets will be $10 for men's games and $6 for women's games. Youth
tickets will be available for $5 and $4, respectively. Single-game
