Nagbe Nets Hat Trick in Exhibition Opener

- Fueled by a hat trick from Darlington Nagbe, the
University of Akron men's soccer team rolled to a 4-1 victory at
Cleveland State Sunday at Krenzler Field. The exhibition match was
the first of six for the Zips this spring.
Nagbe, who was second on the team with 10 goals last fall, scored
the first Zips' goal by finishing a cross from Kofi
Sarkodie. The striker from Lakewood then found the net twice
more unassisted.

Schmitt for the final UA goal of the day.
With the first spring match in the books, the Zips will have a
couple of weeks to prepare for their next spring opponent. UA will
next head to Detroit, Mich., where it will play a split-squad match
against Michigan at 3 p.m. and Oakland at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday,
Mar. 27.
