Blue Team Takes 2-0 Game Three Victory in Fall World Series

AKRON, Ohio - Jon Pusateri and Matt Mika teamed
to hurl a three-hit shutout to lead the Blue team to a 2-0 victory
over the Gold team in game three of the University of Akron
baseball team's Blue and Gold Fall World Series at Lee Jackson
Field Thursday afternoon.
Pusateri went six-strong innings allowing three hits and striking
out two to pick up the win, and Mika pitched a hitless seventh to
secure a 2-1 series advantage for the Blue team.
Drew Turocy and Joey Havrilak each drove in a run for the Blue team, while the Gold team's Myles McVeigh pitched well in defeat, allowing just two runs on four hits over six innings.
The Blue team will try to close out the series in Friday's game four, which starts at 2:15 p.m. at Lee Jackson Field. If necessary game five will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
