Back lifted The University of Akron to a 2-1 win over Buffalo
in a Mid-American Conference women's soccer match on Friday at UB
Stadium.
Back found the net in the 55th and 59th minute to log her second
multiple-goal game of the season, also doing so in a 6-2 win over

Junior Heather Rains assisted on the first score and
sophomore Jordan Baranowski on the second. It was
Baranowski's fourth assist of the season and was a career first for
Rains.
Akron (6-2-0, 1-0-0 MAC) freshman goalkeeper Jenn
Wolbert picked up her sixth win of the season and made five
saves, playing all 90 minutes. She entered the weekend as the
league leader in saves and saves per game.
Buffalo (4-2-2, 0-1-0) got on the board in the 15th minute, when
Andrea Vescio found the net off an assist by Nikki Wilson.
Both teams recorded 12 shots, with the Zips taking seven shots on
goal and the Bulls having six that were on frame. Back led all
players with four shots on goal. UA has now won in three-straight
visits to Buffalo.
