Ubiparipovic Makes MLS Debut

COLUMBUS, Ohio- It didn't take long for former Akron standout
SInsia Ubiparipovic to make his professional soccer debut as he
came in off the bench in the New York Red Bulls' season opener at
the Columbus Crew on Saturday. The game ended in a 0-0 tie.
The midfielder/forward came on in the 84th minute for the Red Bulls, replacing fellow rookie Dane Richards. Ubiparipovic becomes just the second Akron player to hit the MLS pitch, joining defender Cameron Knowles who made his MLS debut with Real Salt Lake.
The Red Bulls are back in action on Sunday, April 15 as they play host to FC Dallas in their home opener.
