Weather 2, Baseball 0: Zips Canceled Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. - The University of Akron baseball team's game against Eastern Kentucky was canceled Sunday due to winter weather conditions. The game will not be rescheduled.
The
Zips (4-1) took both ends of a seven-inning doubleheader from the
Colonels Saturday, 7-0, 8-6. Friday's game was postponed due to
unplayable field conditions.
Sunday's cancellation is the Zips second of the season. Akron's game against BYU was wiped out due to inclement weather last weekend in Millington, Tenn.
UA will next head to Bradenton, Fla., for single games against IPFW, Georgetown, Northern Iowa, Valparaiso and Vermont beginning on Thursday, March 8 and running through Sunday, March 11. Akron will begin the trip riding a four-game win streak.
