Golf Sits in 12th After Day One
March 11 | Men's Golf
- After two rounds of the Mission Inn Intercollegiate, the
University of Akron men's golf team rest in 12th place with 595
strokes.
After starting the day with an opening round 77,
Vaughn Snyder rebounded
with a 1-under par 71 in round two and currently rest tied for 29th
place with 148 total strokes.
Junior
Ryan Gutowski is also tied
in 29th as he posted rounds of 73 and 75 on day one.
Senior
Blake Sattler currently
sits in 40th place with back-to-back rounds of 75.
Colin Clemente is one
stroke back of Sattler with 151 strokes (73-78), while
Brad Wright rounded out the
Zips scorecard in 55th place with a 153 swings (76-77) on the
day.
Louisville fired off 567 (285-282) strokes on the par-72, 6,923
yard course to end the day in first place.
Mike VanSickle of Marquette sits atop the leader board with 138
strokes (70-68).
Final round action will get underway tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
EST.
