Akron, Kent State Team Up to Fight Breast Cancer

AKRON, Ohio – For the next three weeks,
the University of Akron and Kent State volleyball teams will be
competing for a greater cause with the Susan G. Komen Dig for the
Cure fundraiser.
The two rival schools will each donate money based on the total
number of digs recorded during the month of October to the Susan G.
Komen Foundation in an effort to fight breast cancer.
The drive begins tonight when the Zips (9-8, 1-3 Mid-American
Conference) compete at Bowing Green, starting at 7 p.m., and
concludes on Saturday, Oct. 27 when Akron plays at Kent State.
