AKRON, Ohio - University of Akron men's basketball players Dru Joyce and Romeo Travis are featured in a two-page pictorial in the July edition of SLAM Magazine (available on news stands now).
The spread of the seniors-to-be, who led the Zips to 23 wins and helped them advance to the first round of the National Invitation Tournament in March, is part of the magazine's "In Your Face" section.
High school player-of-the-year Greg Oden is on the cover of the issue that also takes a look at this year's prep All-Americans.
This season Travis led UA in scoring (13.8 ppg), rebounding (6.8
rpg) and field goals (52 percent), while Joyce was first on the
squad in assists (5.0 apg) and third in scoring (10.0 ppg).
