AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron baseball program will be hosting two summer instructional camps running from June 27 through June 29, 2006 and July 11 through July 13, 2006. The instructional camps will focus on three concentrations - hitting, pitching fielding and baserunning. The camp will provide a great opportunity for athletes to practice their skills under the instruction and guidance of the University of Akron coaching staff and players.
The camp is open to boys as young as seven years old, all the way through any student in their senior year in high school. Each camp will run Tuesday through Thursday, starting at 9:00 a.m. and run until 1:00 p.m. Players may sign up for both camps if they wish.
The camp will be held at UA's Lee Jackson Field, home to Akron Zips baseball. Each players is encouraged to bring his own personal bat, fielding glove and helmet.
