Eric Harper is in his fifth season with the Zips staff and his third as Video Coordinator.
With the Zips, Harper cuts and organizes film databases, creates and updates recruiting databases, and assists with monitoring the programs’ social media. In addition, he assists with the creation of opponent scouting reports and team travel.
Harper spent three seasons on the Zips’ basketball staff as the team’s head student manager from 2012-2015 as well as the program’s first-ever undergraduate video coordinator from 2013-2015. Upon graduation in May of 2015, Harper was named operations assistant for the 2015-2016 season.
As an undergraduate student, Harper served two seasons as the head coach of Trumbull County Basketball Academy’s 9th and 10th grade girls AAU basketball team (2012-2013). He planned and scheduled all practices, travel, and tournaments while scouting opponents.
Harper is a 2015 graduate of The University of Akron, with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports science and coaching.
Harper is a 2011 graduate of McDonald High School in McDonald, OH, where he played basketball and football.
