Treymaine Danzy is in his first year as Academic Support Services Coordinator for Football after joining the Student-Athlete Academic Services staff in the fall of 2022. An Akron native, he graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School.

Prior to joining the department of athletics, Danzy was an employee at The University of Akron for the past 8 years in multiple areas including the division of student success, the office of academic retention and support and was the assistant director for the educational talent search.

Danzy graduated from Walsh University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership management in 2009 and went on to earn his master’s of sport science/coaching in 2018 from The University of Akron. In 2019, he attended California University of Pennsylvania to earn a certification in sports counseling. Currently, Danzy is working on his second master’s degree in the clinical mental health program from Akron.

Danzy enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams in his free time and is married to Katherine and is the proud father of four children, Kaleb, Noah, and Gianna and Evan Brown.
