Seth McFall

Hired as the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing in June of 2023, Seth McFall oversees the external messaging units for Zips Athletics including marketing, communications, creative services, and broadcast. McFall also oversees all athletics branding, Â licensing & merchandising and is the point of contact for the relationship with CLC. He is also the athletics liaison to the university vice president & chief communication and marketing officer, as well as the liaison to the athletic departments multi-media rights holder and the university band programs. McFall also serves as the sport administrator for baseball and the Akron spirit programs.

McFall comes to Akron after serving two and a half years at Robert Morris University as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Experience. His focus was on the marketing and branding for the athletic department and its 17 Division I sports, as well as driving revenue efforts and enhancing the fan experience. McFall also oversaw the develop, launch and upkeep of the RMU Athletics Gameday App and the facility branding project. Â

Prior to Robert Morris, McFall served as the Assistant Director of Marketing with UAB Athletics. His responsibilities included the development, review, and implementation of marketing and promotional plans for football, men’s basketball, volleyball, and baseball as well as organizing and executing the game day experience.

Prior to arriving at UAB, McFall worked for the Murray State University athletics marketing department. He oversaw marketing efforts for baseball, women’s basketball, and volleyball, while also assisting with marketing and promotional activities associated with all home athletic events. McFall served as a point of contact for the Junior Racers Club, while overseeing the set-up and staging of pre-game activities, specifically football tailgate. He also supervised student workers in the marketing and game management areas.

Prior to arriving at Murray State, McFall worked with the University of South Carolina athletics marketing department where he aided with marketing and promotional activities for all varsity sports and provided support with game day operations for men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, and other Olympic sports. McFall also assisted with ticket sales and public relations campaigns geared towards increasing attendance on campus and throughout the community.

A native of Emporium, Pennsylvania, he currently resides in Akron.
