Jordan Amati enters his third season with the Akron Zips men’s basketball program in 2026-27. A versatile and detail-oriented member of the coaching staff, Amati contributes across a broad range of areas including player development, scouting, and day-to-day program operations.
Before joining the Zips, Amati spent four years as a student manager at West Virginia University under Hall of Fame head coach Bob Huggins, where he was immersed in one of college basketball’s most demanding and high-profile programs. During his time in Morgantown, Amati contributed to player development, scouting preparation, and facility operations, assisting in the growth of future NBA players Miles McBride, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Jalen Bridges.
Amati further expanded his credentials by volunteering with USA Basketball during the summers, working at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and in Las Vegas. His national team experience included training camps for the Olympic team, the FIBA World Cup squad, and the U18 National Team.
He also completed an internship with the NBA in player marketing over All-Star Weekend, serving as a player liaison for Jaylen Brown, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams.
