Pan Paksanont enters her first year as a graduate assistant coach for Akron.
Paksanont was the first women’s golfer in the USC Upstate program history to be named ASUN Freshman of the Year, Second Team All-Conference, ASUN All-Freshman team, and BigSouth All-Conference team.
Paksanont received many awards throughout her collegiate golf career at USC Upstate including USC Upstate freshman of the year (2016-2017), USC Upstate most valuable player (2016-2017 and 2017-2018), USC Upstate Player of the year (2018-2019), USC Upstate Impact Player of the year (2019-2020), Joe Bowman Pinnacle Award (2020-2021).
Paksanont led the team and had the best winning percentage in school history at .876 and recorded 18 Top 10 finishes, ten Top 5, and won two tournaments. Her 72.83 stroke average is tied for the second lowest in program history, and she capped her senior season with a low round of 67. She was named the 2021 Big South All Conference team, and Big South All- Academic team. She was an NCAA Women of the year nominee in 2021.
Paksanont played professionally in August 2021 and posted a career-best runner-up finish at the 2021 South Carolina Women’s Open with a 68-69-75: 212 tournament total.
Paksanont graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a major in Psychology and Coaching.
Paksanont was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She is currently Clinical and Mental Health counselling program.
