Wonthe indoor shot put three times, including the Akron Quad (55-2.25), UA-KSUDual (54-0) and Zips Invitational.

as a Junior (2009):

Scored at the MAC Indoors, placing fifth in the shot put (54-06.75).
Had Akron's topdistance in the shot put for 2009 (53-11.75).
Scored at the MAC Outdoor Championships, placing seventh in the shot put with amark of 51-06.50.

as a Sophomore (2008):

Qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional with a throw of 55-4.25 in the shotput. Threw 54-6 at the regional meet to place 16th.
His regional qualifying throw came at the MAC Championships, where he placedfourth in the shot put, stands as the fifth-best distance in UA history.
During the indoor season, had a best of 55-11.25 in the shot put at the ZipsInvitational, which stands as the fifth-best indoor distance in the event in UAhistory.
Placed fifth at the MAC Indoors in the shot put with a distance of 54-4.50.

Tabbed to the Associated Press Class4A All-State second team as a senior in football. Also named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22.
