Former Akron record-holderAmy Lavalley is in her second season with the Zips track and fieldprogram after a solid four-year career (2004-07). Lavalley’s main duties consists of handing thedaily operations of the office as well as assisting with home meetmanagement.

Lavalley participated inthree NCAA Mideast Regionals in the hammer. As a senior, she placedthird at the MAC Championships and qualified for the regional witha throw of 189-9 at the prestigious Texas Relays, which standssecond on the UA all-time list. As a sophomore, Lavalleyestablished an Akron record in the hammer with a toss of 178-3. Ayear earlier and in her first collegiate competition, sheestablished a UA record in the weight throw with a distance of55-3.50.
