As a Junior (2013-14): Averaged 561 in smallbore ... tied for the fourth-best air rifle average with 571 ... fired a season-high 568 in smallbore against Navy (Oct. 6) in the first competition of the season ... posted a career-best score of 585 in air rifle against Columbus State (Nov. 11) to receive top gun honors ... finished in the Zips' top three in air rifle against Air Force (Feb. 7) with a score of 582 that helped the team clinch the second-highest combined rifle score on the season (2327) ... notched scores of 561 in smallbore and 564 in air rifle in both the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference championship (Feb. 15) and the NCAA Qualifier (Feb. 22) to help guide the team to a WIRC title.
As a Sophomore (2012-13): In a match against Morehead, Liz recorded a personal best of 571 in smallbore…shot an average of 559 in smallbore and 567 in air rifle…her air rifle personal best of 578 came in a match against John Jay…shot an above-average 561 in smallbore at the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference Championship.
As a Freshman (2011-12): Shot her best scores at the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference Championships ... was second on the team with a season best 386 in the 40 shot air rifle at the MAC Championships ... also had season bests of 574 in the 60 shot air rifle and 563 in smallbore ... ... a member of the first place Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference team for smallbore and the MAC second place air rifle team ... also a member of the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference 2nd place smallbore and air rifle teams.
Prior to the University of Akron: Joined the DuBois Area High School rifle team as a freshman under Coach Joel Dutra … qualified for the Junior Olympics in 2010 and 2011, held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. … shot multiple matches under the DuBois Rifle and Pistol Club, such as NRA sectionals and National Matches held at Camp Perry, Ohio … winner of the Junior Sharpshooter division for any sights at Camp Perry in 2011.
