PRIOR TO AKRON: Three-star recruit by 247Sports...played defensive end for coach Leroy Hood at Turner County HS...All-State, All-Conference, All-Academic selection...in prep career, had 188 tackles, 53 TFL, 32 sacks, 14 break-ups, and five forced fumbles...three-time All-Academic team honoree.
