At Cardinal Mooney: Named All-State as a senior ... Runner-up for Mahoning County Player of the Year honors ... Named first team All-Steel Valley Conference ... Two-time All-Ohio and All-Steel Valley Conference pick ... Also named All-Northeast Ohio for two seasons ... Tabbed the Ohio Division IV Player of the Year ... As a junior (2004), rushed for 118 yards on 19 attempts to help Cardinal Mooney defeat Versailles for the Ohio Division IV state championship ... Led Cardinal Mooney to a state runner-up finish in 2005, gaining 136 rushing yards in that title game ... Rushed for 4,423 yards in his career ... Caught 186 passes and piled up 5,893 all-purpose yards with 44 touchdowns ... Also lettered in track and field and basketball, was All-State in track two times.
