PRIOR TO AKRON: A 247Sports two-star inside linebacker, was a four-year letter winner at Archbishop Hoban High School under head coach Tim Tyrrell...a member of three state championship teams in the State of Ohio, a team captain, helped Hoban to a 51-3 overall record...in his senior season, led his team to a state championship victory and a No. 12 national ranking...garnered 46 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two interceptions and one defensive touchdown in 2020...for his efforts, Bauer was named a second-team All-Ohio and first-team All-Northeast Ohio (Inland) selection...a member of the National Honor Society, he maintained a 4.3 GPA and was among the top-30 of his graduating class.
