Junior (2008): Averaged 37.1 yards for the season (48 punts for 1,782 yards) ... Of his 48 punts this season, 20 have been fair caught and 12 have pinned UA opponents inside their own 20 ... Had at least one punt fair caught in 11 of 12 games ... Booted a season-long 49 yard punt versus Wisconsin and Eastern Michigan ... Averaged 40.5 yards on his two punts at Syracuse, both punts being fair caught ... Best game has come versus Cincinnati, averaging a season-best 43.4 yards on his five punts with four being fair caught and two pinning the Bearcats inside their own 20 ... Only punted once versus Toledo, a 31 yarder that was fair caught inside the UT 20 ... Only punted three times and only averaged 30.3 yards, but all three were fair caught and one was inside the UB 20.
Sophomore (2007): While his punting average dropped by one yard, going from 38.6 in 2006 to 27.5 in ’07, Akron’s net putting improved, going from 32.1 in ’06 to 33.2 in ’07 ... Had 75 punts in 2007 for 2,816 yards with four punts of 50-plus yards ... Of his 75 punts, five were touchbacks, 19 were fair caught and 16 pinned UA opponents inside their own 20 ... Set a UA record with 14 punts (for 575 yards) at Ohio State, averaging 41.1 yards per game ... Landed three punts at OSU inside the 20, including one on the two leading to a safety and one on the seven, and boomed a 52-yarder ... Had two punts at Western Michigan, averaging 48 yards per kick – a 50 yarder and a 46 yarder ... Averaged 35.2 yards per punt versus Kent State (9 for 317) with five being fair caught ... Had eight punts at Connecticut for 324 yards, averaging 40.5 yards with a 51 yarder and a 50 yarder ... Only averaged 30.8 yards on his six punts versus Temple, but three were inside the 20 ... Also had three punts inside the 20 at Miami and versus Central Michigan ... Handled the kickoff duties versus Bowling Green, Ohio and Miami ... Also at Miami, had an 11-yard rush for a first down ... Appeared to have a first down on a fake punt on the Zips’ first possession of the second half at UConn, but the gain was negated with a penalty.
Freshman (2006): Handled all the punting duties for the Zips as a true freshman ... Ranked seventh in the Mid-American Conference and 77th nationally with a 38.63 punting average (60 punts for 2318 yards) ... Of his 60 punts, 12 were fair caught, 11 pinned UA’s opponent inside their own 20 and five were 50 yards or more (four of his five 50-plus yarders came in the final three games of the season) ... Had a career-high eight punts, averaging 38.8 yards, at North Carolina State ... One of his eight punts was a 52 yarder with Akron facing 4-and-10 on its own three yard line ... Had three games with seven punts (at Penn State, at Cincinnati and versus Western Michigan) ... Averaged 42.0 yards per punt at Cincinnati ... Had a 54-yard punt versus Buffalo ... Averaged 42.6 yards on his five punts versus Ohio, including a 50 yarder ... Ended the season versus Western Michigan with seven punts, averaging a season-best 43.7 yards and booming two punts over 50 yards ... Also versus WMU, three punts stayed inside the Bronco 20.
Prior to Akron: A 2005 Lou Groza Award finalist as the top placekicker in Palm Beach County ... First team All-Palm Beach County in 2005 ... Had a 44.6 punting
average, including a 61-yarder, as a senior ... Converted 4-for-5 on field goals and 46-of-49 PATs in 2005 .... Had a career-long 46-yard FG as a senior ...
