PRIOR TO AKRON: A defensive back from Concord, Ohio, was a four-year letterwinner at Lake Catholic under head coach Marty Gibbons...helped spark the Cougars to an 8-3 mark and a state runner-up finish as a senior after collecting 84 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass break-ups and four tackles for a loss in 2020...offensively, he rushed 1,577 yards and 14 touchdowns, while throwing for 1,0333 yards and 13 touchdowns...a first-team All-State selection at quarterback, he was tabbed by the News-Herald as its 2020 Player of the Year, while also being honored by the Lake County Touchdown Club for his efforts as a defensive back...also competed in baseball, basketball and track and field.
