High School: Class AAA Second Team All-State selection by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association at defensive line at Morgantown HS as a senior for the Mohigans ... earned First Team All-Conference after leading Morgantown into the playoffs ... also played fullback, where he rushed for almost 700 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year ... named to the 2009 Charleston Daily Mail Preseason All-State football team ... had 167 carries for 1,062 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior, earning Second Team All-State and First Team All-Conference honors at the position ... also caught 10 passes for 179 yards and two additional scores in 2008 ... led his squad to an 11-2 mark, a conference title and a berth in the state semifinals his junior year.
