PRIOR TO AKRON: Three-year letterwinner for coach Larry Wenderusz at Slipper Rock HS...played middle linebacker, tight end, and quarterback...named to the Regional HS Football All-Star Sweet 16 Defense...All-Conference selection at linebacker...District 10 All-Star...recipient of the Coaches’ Sacrifice Award...also participated in track and field for three years...played basketball for one season.
