Junior (2008): Played in all 12 games, starting six ... In addition to his role as receiver, also a dangerous kick returner ... Caught 16 passes for 186 yards and two scores ... Averaged 24.3 yards per kick return (13 for 316) ... Started at Wisconsin and caught two passes for 30 yards ... Made a nice 18-yard catch as the Zips marched late in the first half for a field goal ... Only had two catches at Syracuse, but both were key third-and-long first downs ... Made a nice defensive play at SU, breaking up an apparent SU interception ... Later in the drive, Akron scored and took a 28-14 lead at the break ... Although Miller and Chris Jacquemain had trouble with a handoff exchange on UA’s first play in overtime, Miller kept after it, recovering the ball to allow UA remain in possession and eventually kick a field goal, forcing another OT period ... With Toledo gaining momentum and cutting its deficit to three, Miller scored his first career TD in the Zips’ win, a nine yarder to give UA a 10-point lead in the third quarter ... Also had a 37-yard reception in the first quarter, setting up UA’s third score of the period ... Scored a four-yard TD versus Buffalo in the first OT, forcing a second OT.
Prior to Akron: at Bakersfield: Missed portion of the season with a broken arm ... (Ironically, first game out with the injury was versus fellow UA signee Deryn Bowser and LA Harbor College) ... Returned for the playoffs, playing with a steel rod in his arm ... Prior to injury, had 14 catches for 247 yards in three games, averaging 17.6 per catch ... at Texas-El Paso: Signed with UTEP out of high school, spending a redshirt season with the Miners ... at Centennial HS: Caught 70 passes for 1,184 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior ... Rushed 21 times for 180 yards and four touchdowns ... Also had 13 tackles and two pass deflections in spot-duty on defense ... Named first team all-league ... Tallied 47 receptions for 702 yards and five touchdowns as a junior ... Was three of five passing for 95 yards and one touchdown ... Had five carries for 74 yards and one touchdown ...
