A steady performer along the offensive line who has emerged as one of the top centers in
the league ... a preseason second-team All-MAC choice by Lindy's ... has also spent time
on the defensive line in his career.

as a Junior (2005): The only offensive lineman to start all 13 games, earning the nod at
center each time... part of an offensive line that produced a 1,000-yard rusher (Brett
Biggs), the first UA back to top 1,000 yards since Bobby Hendry in 2002 ... also provided
excellent protection for quarterback Luke Getsy, allowing Getsy to throw for 3,455 yards,
while surendering just 1.6 sacks per game, third lowest total in the MAC ... aided
the Zips in becoming the 31st team in NCAA history to boast a 1,000-yard passer,
1,000-yard receiver and 1,000-yard rusher in a season ... had a solid spring after moving
from guard ... tabbed the most improved player on the offense (along with Jabari Arthur).

as a Redshirt Sophomore (2004): Saw action in five games along the offensive line and on
special teams ... got on the field vs. Penn State (Sept. 4), Virginia (Sept. 18),
Northern Illinois (Oct. 2), Buffalo (Oct. 9) and Miami (Nov. 20) .. served as the primary
backup at both guard positions.

as a Sophomore (2003): Redshirted.

as a Freshman (2002): Played in five games ... started the season on the offensive line,
but switched to defensive tackle midway through the year ... saw his first action at
Eastern Michigan (Oct. 5) where he collected two solo stops ... posted one tackle at Ohio
(Nov. 9).

at St. Francis DeSales High School: A first-team All-Ohio Division III offensive lineman
as a senior...first-team Columbus Dispatch All-Agonis, first-team Super 25...two-way
standout lineman...DeSales was Division III runner-up in 2001...picked up six sacks in
the 2001 playoffs...three-year letterwinner in both wrestling and track (discus)...state
qualifier in both sports ... recruited by several Division I-A schools in Ohio ...
