AK-ROWDIES History

The AK-ROWDIES organization was created in 2005 with under 100 members and a goal of just supporting The University of Akron Men's Basketball team. As time moved on and the organization grew to over 1,000 members, the ROWDIES expanded the goal of the organization to promote school spirit through the orgainzed support of all Akron athletic teams by hosting social events, giving back to the community, and of course by making their presence known at home games. The group is now infamous in the Mid-American Conference for their dedication and ROOthless support.
When you join, you will receive an official shirt, FREE food, priority seating at home games, access to tailgates and road trips, and so many great memories!
