The University of Akron Athletics
Cub Scouts Sleepover
The University of Akron Athletics invites all local Cub Scouts to sleepover in the Stile Athletics Field House and attend the Akron vs. Buffalo game on Saturday, October 19. Due to TV scheduling, we may not know the kickoff time until two weeks prior to the game. For this reason, we have two options available depending on kickoff time. If the game is early, we invite you to stay the night on Friday. If kickoff is in the late afternoon or early evening, we invite you to attend the game and stay the night on Saturday. We will let you know the kickoff time and sleepover itinerary once the time is released.

A few helpful details:
Siblings are allowed to attend and sleepover.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided during a movie inside the Field House or at the stadium. Snacks include popcorn, chips, pretzels, and candy as well as water and other drinks. If you would like to bring anything additional for your pack, you are free to do so.
Breakfast will consist of bagels, donuts, coffee, and juice.
ZipsFest opens inside the Field House two hours prior to kickoff. ZipsFest is a great area for families and features a bounce house, team challenge, jousting, interactive inflatables, balloon artist, and face painter.
Prior to kickoff, we will have a Trunk or Treat event inside ZipsFest and the surrounding tailgate lots. The tailgates participating in Trunk or Treat will have a visible sign. Kids can wear costumes, but they are not allowed to wear any masks that cover their faces. Fake weapons are also prohibited. Trunk or Treat will run from 10 AM - 11:30 AM.
Cub Scouts participating in the High-5 tunnel need to meet at the Promotions Tent in the north concourse area 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Only Cub Scouts and one chaperone per pack will be allowed onto the field at this time. After the high-5 tunnel, we will bring all of the Cub Scouts back upstairs to enjoy the game. Some of the packs have decided to wear their cub scout uniform or t-shirt, but it is up to each pack’s discretion.
Ten minutes following the game, families are allowed onto the field to toss a football and take pictures.
