Listen to Zips Live via Fox Sports Radio 1350 AM (WARF)
AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron football head
coach Terry Bowden and men's soccer head coach Caleb
Porter will be the guests on tonight's Zips Live, which is
broadcast from 7-8 p.m. ET live from the Winking Lizard
Tavern in nearby Fairlawn (25 Ghent Road).
The weekly hour-long radio show covering Zips Athletics airs
locally on Akron-IMG Sports Network flagship Fox
Sports Radio 1350 AM (WARF). The broadcast can also be heard
via webstream on the WARF
homepage (click on the Listen Live tab in the top left corner).
Bill Morgan is the host of the program.
Bowden will be on weekly throughout the season during the show's
first 30 minutes. The Zips football team plays host to Morgan State
on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field.
The game will be carried on ESPN3. Saturday serves as Youth Day,
with youth (ages 3-14) General Admission tickets costing $10.
Porter's program, ranked ninth nationally, is at home this weekend
for its annual tournament. The Zips face 10th-ranked St. John's on
Friday at 7 p.m. in a FOX Soccer Channel international telecast,
and take on 11th-ranked South Florida on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday's football game and both men's soccer contests can also be heard on Akron-IMG Sports Network flagship Fox Sports Radio 1350 AM (WARF).
