AKRON, Ohio – After a successful return in 2012, The University of Akron's Z-Fund, men's golf head coach David Trainor and women's golf head coach Jenny King invite you to Firestone Country Club's West Course on Tuesday, Oct. 1, for the 2013 edition of the Invitational, Presented by FirstEnergy Solutions.
Last year, the men's and women's programs had a phenomenal turnout in the reintroduction of this once great event. Both programs, along with the Z-Fund, are looking to make this year's edition even better.
We are limiting the field for this year's event, so we encourage you to sign up quickly to reserve your spot. If you are unable to participate in this year's event, please consider making a gift that will benefit both programs. We will use a Best Ball format, consisting of both net and gross divisions. Each team will be eligible for prizes in both divisions without duplicate winners. In addition, there will be a low gross division for all former Akron Zips golfers.

10:00 a.m. – Range opens
11:00 a.m. – Registration and Buffet Luncheon (Firestone Clubhouse)
1:00 p.m. – Shotgun Start
5:30 p.m. – Social Hour, Heavy Hors D'oeuvres and Prizes (Firestone Clubhouse)
